First of all that is an insane a mount of people in one place for “Odoo Experience 2022” this year. The last event was in 2019 people came from all over the world to attend.
اولا، كمية الناس الحضرت المؤتمر السنة دي كانت خرافية .. تخيل يا انسان عدد ناس قدر دا متجمعين في مكان واحد اشان يحضرو مؤتمر “اودو اكسبيرينس 2022” . اخر مؤتمر كان سنة 2019 ، المرة دي الناس جات من كل العالم اشان تحضر.

Odoo announced on stage that they are updating the pricing model to prepare to go main stream with the lunch of the latest version of their ERP software which has more features than only an ERP and they gave a reason why they are doing this.
أعلن اودو على خشبة المسرح أنهم حيغيرو المودل بتاع التسعيرة حقتهم اشان عايزين يستعدو للانطلاق لعدد اكبر من المسخدمين ويبقو هم الشركة بتاعت اي ار بي الاكبر في العالم مع النسخة الاخيرة من نظامم رقم ١٦ والبيحتوي على ميزات أكثر من كونو يكون نظام اي ار بي فقط وقدمو سبب تفصيلي لي تغيير الاسعار
New odoo pricing cheaper for small companies more expensive for larger companies probably a better structure.

The new pricing model will focus more on the employees (users) and the value that it gives them to unleash their potentials and be more productive on the job with all the right tools rather than focusing on the app pricing which caused the entry cost to be high for the customers at the beginning of purchasing Odoo so the pricing model is now more fair to be adapted by more customers to benefit from all the suite apps that Odoo offers which genially would have been a nightmare if you use all these apps as stand along apps if you didn’t work with Odoo.

Odoo has a big community over 7 million users from enterprise users to community users and contributors on the open source code of odoo on GitHub some of them are specilaized in accounting, hr and more even developers from all backgrounds. A lot of community users are using the free version of Odoo and customize it to their needs and sell it to customers i my self was part of them until i something changed my mind and became a partner to Odoo in Sudan will talk about it in another article. I expect more of the Odoo community users now to join the new “Odoo Enterprise” ship because it’s more affordable now with much more features than the “Odoo Community Version” and they don’t have to reinvent the wheel for every version Odoo releases. The state of Odoo in Sudan ? (وضع أودو في السودان؟)
A little brief history. OpenERP has entered Sudan in the early 2010s throw workshops done by the Indian Odoo Partner Serpent in collaboration with NCTR before it was formally known as Odoo. Then i remember ZEC (Software Center) has implemented OpenERP 7 along with Sudanese Electricity Transmission Company (SETCO) being first implementors throw partners like IATL Intelisoft, AlmedTech and more.
نخش شوية في تاريخ اودو في السودان .. اوبن اي ار بي دخل السودان في أوائل عام 2010 عن طريق ورش عمل قدمتها شركة سيربنت الهندية بالتعاون مع مركز النيل (ان سي تي ار) قبل أن يسمي رسميًا باسم اودو. وبتذكر كان في زد اي سي (مركز البرمجيات الزرقاء) نفذت اوبن اي ار بي 7 هي والشركة السودانية لنقل الكهرباء (اس اي تي سي او) كأول ناس اشتغلو بي النظام عن طريق شركاء اودو زي انتلي سوفت و الميد تيك والخ.
Today Odoo has more than 10+ partners in Sudan and more than 100+ customers from big companies to small but it’s not enough we have a lot of business that need the value that Odoo offers we lack the digital infrastructure all our country services are still bad you can’t do anything unless you go by yourself to do it and you my be lucky to get it done in the same day so why not we make all our services digital and make a big digital transformation and teach and train everybody to know how to work with a system and show them the best practices.

First lets give you a little brief about me i knew Odoo back in 2015 when i was student in college in the 5th semester one of our seniors came to me and told me that they want to learn something called Odoo and told me to register with them because they are bringing some one to teach them in our college labs they where learning it for their graduation project so i said why not and i gave it a try and here we are now.

I am a certified Odoo Techno-Functional Consultant with a 7 years experience. I have co-founded a company with my colleges and we have a trining center and we are an official partner with Odoo since 2020 with lots of customers in Sudan and globally.
