Burning Passion, Ticking Grenade.

“ There’s this eagerness, this excitement, this passion, that is burning in me, up the walls of my throat which I cannot quite explain. It’s as if a part of me is about to tick off like a grenade. I love that feeling. ” — Anonymous.

I think it is entirely safe to say that we all need a little passion in us. Something that allows us to be captivated by, and to be in awe, again and again. Something that helps us to cling on to sanity when the pit runs deep, something which drives us forward. And I also believe that it is entirely safe to call Christ our passion.

5 minutes to eleven-pee-am (11 pm), that I am writing this to you, and I’ve decided not to rant on about the welcoming speech, because it’ll be mundane by now reading the same first paragraph repetitively in every update. So, (I had a pretty hard time shaping the words so it would be less awkward, seeing that I’m jumping straight into the point) youth service last Saturday started of with prayer as it was communion week. Which also means, no ice breaker.

Photographer’s note: “ I apologize for giving just this few photos. Anyway, here it is. Thanks! [:)] ”

Prayer was led by Cathrynaa herself.

Prayer points were, for service itself, (worship team and the speaker), exam candidates and for each other.

We moved on to worship shortly after prayer. Worship was led by Faith and her team.

Next, we had Pastor Amar in the house to share the word of God to the youth.

Having a relationship with Jesus.

What is your passion? Is your passion rooted in things of this world, or things that are unseen but eternal? What God has put in your hearts, do not let it change. Do not let your passion be easily shaken by other people’s comment, or worldly desires. Instead, be deeply rooted in faith, and deeply captivated by His love.

These two verses below revolves around the context of Jesus having a relationship with the Father :

17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

John 5 : 17–23

“Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me” — John 7 : 16

Jesus wants to take time to talk to you. He is waiting for you to give Him your time so that the both of you can spend quality time together. We are not alone. Sometimes, God uses our loneliness to drive us towards Him.

Take time to meditate on His word.

The Word is still sharp and active today. Meditating on His word and devoting in it helps us to gain knowledge, wisdom and understanding not of the world, but from Him. His word is the answer to everything. His word is His promises and love letter to us.

Prayer can definitely move mountains. Prayer without faith will not work. Prayer is not only us talking to God, but prayer is called communication, where it is a two-way activity, never one-way. God answers our prayers according to His timing, because everything is made beautiful in His timing.

We can never hide anything from God. So, it is better for us to bring our everything to God beforehand, before the devil brings in to condemnation.

Jesus never stopped loving anybody. Have a relationship with God by giving Him the honor and number one priority He deserves.

Have a blessed week ahead everyone, and I’ll see you guys real soon. :)
