Only constant is change. This statement makes even better sense in today’s digital world where everything is connected. Digital transformation although created new industries, has disrupted even more. Businesses now have to be more aware than ever due to the fact that their business model can be outdated anytime soon. Those who do not embrace and drive change will be out of the business. It is very scary to think about this transformation in business world. Change brings a lot of headache and heartache. It consumes a lot of internal energy and resources of the company. However on the other side of change, there lies plethora of opportunities for us. We are shifting our focus on new opportunities rather than lost ones.
Being in the creative industry in Nepal for last two years we have also felt the impact of digital transformation. With more entrepreneurs and business owners being able to create their own designs and campaigns easily through social medias like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and so on; our job is getting tougher. Moreover, client now expects more from fewer resources while freelancer hiking up their prices doesn’t help us in any way whatsoever. This leads to agency like us squeezed up in between. Therefore, if we keep doing what we are doing, we will keep getting what we are getting or might not get anything at all. We’ll be dinosaurs; EXTINCT!
Then, what is the solution? Embracing and driving this change. We want to be the part of this digital transformation and lead the way. We don’t want to get disrupted, rather we want to the part of this disruption. How are we going to do that? Reinventing and pivoting our business model. We were design studio before but we are positioning ourselves as a brand strategy design consultancy. What does that mean? Well! To put it simply Firelight Studio has become a team of strategic designers. We are part designers and part business consultants. We integrate business strategy in our designs to create meaningful and engaging customer experience for your brand.
The problem with the traditional model is business consultant provides only business solutions but lacks creative aspects and creative agency only specialize on art and designs. This new model is the hybrid of both creative agency and business consulting. We have been adding strategy into our practice by innovating our internal processes and approach to better integrate this hybrid system into our agency. Likewise, strategy is integrated with clients too and the feedback we are receiving is UNBELIEVABLE. We believe that this new approach will provide real value to our clients which will help them grow their brand. This is the future of next generation agency and we are really excited to embrace it.
