Dear readers,

Day after tomorrow, I will formally join LBSNAA, Mussoorie as an IFS Officer Trainee (OT).The last few weeks have been emotionally overwhelming and hectic. Packing and paperwork has taken its sweet toll on me. And yes, goodbyes. I’m not good at saying bye which is why I really like the French word for bye — Au Revoir — which translates into – Till we meet again! I’ve been listening to a lot of Guns n’ Roses and Led Zeppelin this week which is always calming. That is helping me stay peaceful. I am going to miss home way too much.

I sincerely apologise to everyone who wrote to me and didn’t get a reply. I tried my best to answer many e-mails as honestly and specifically as I could. However, there were just way too many emails :( Hopefully, everything that I had to say on CSE has been covered more or less on the blog itself.

The news is that I’m not disappearing! You can still get in touch with me through the comments section on this blog or twitter and I will try to reply as soon as I can.

Other than that, some parting musings:

  1. Getting out of my comfort zone is probably the BEST thing that has happened to me. Each day, I try to do something uncomfortable or challenging. I try to enjoy it and make it a part of my lifestyle. I have realised that it is the only way to grow. Yes, pain is the only way to grow. The only difference in mindset is that I guess I try my best to enjoy the pain. Because I know that the discomfort is inevitable. The pain of waking up early or the pain of doing 50 squats/lunges every alternate day – I try to fall in love with these things so that they become easier to execute. I try to get a high off the process and I consciously try to be in the moment and have fun with what I’m doing. This mindset takes time to inculcate and build. But it does create magic! :)
  2. Believe in your goddamn self. People who clear this examination are not some superhero high IQ souls. They are just like you and me. Keep planning, keep changing your plans, keep revamping what works for you, discard the distractions and fall in love with the process. You will eventually hit the bull’s eye.
  3. Stay focused. Make time and space for things and people that make you happy. However, happily Sacrifice. Renounce. Stay patient. Keep up the positivity. Pray. Have fun!
  4. Clearing or not clearing CSE doesn’t dictate the actual worth of a human being. Success at living is a much much larger subject and isn’t about fancy labels and suffixes.

I hope this blog has brought value to your CSE journey. Thank you for trusting me! And thank you for helping me become a better communicator. You all have been a very important part of my magical summer. Stay in touch! And all the best! GO KILL IT <3

In friendship,

Megha
