Colosseum Testnet Validator Selection Complete
Hello. This is FirmaChain.
As we’ve mentioned through our previous public announcement, we’ve completed the selection of teams(individuals) who would be participating as validators for FirmaChain’s Colosseum Testnet.
Initially, a total of 450 teams, from domestic and abroad, have shown interest. After 10 days of thorough due diligence on all of the submitted applications, we’ve finalized 25 teams as the participants for our Colosseum testnet validator.
We’ve deviated from our initial plan to select 15–20 teams and selected a total of 25 in order to test the stability of our network in more countries under various test scenarios. Aside from the selected teams, we are also consistently communicating with a number of teams globally so that such teams could participate as Genesis Validators once we’ve completed the hardfork of our mainnet.
We’ve put in strenuous effort in reviewing and went through all of the submitted applications with a fine comb since this stage is one of the most important stages prior to the Augustus hardfork. Teams(individuals) that have made to the final list will be notified by the FirmaChain team shortly.

Those who were not fortunate enough to make it to the final list, we hereby ask for your understanding.
All of the teams(individuals) were, without the smallest doubt, overqualified candidates. However, those who were selected as validator participants were a better fit with us in terms of the specific qualities that we’ve been looking for. We hereby offer our sincere gratitude to all those who showed interest in our Colosseum testnet phase.
We’d like to mention that anyone who meets the basic qualifications (staking volume, validator operation environment etc.) can participate as validators after our mainnet hardfork, so we urge all of you to keep posted on the latest FirmaChain updates.
<Next Steps>
As per our previous announcement, the selected validators will participate in the stress test and stabilization process for a maximum of 6 weeks.
Validators will operate nodes and check its stability while the FirmaChain team will actively communicate with the validators on issues such as possible rooms for improvement or action items proposed by the validators. We believe the above process will ultimately stabilize and technologically enhance our network.
Details of the test will be shared with the validators via discord. Through discussions with our validators, we will conduct a number of stability tests and governance activities. Issues that come up during the testing phase will be recorded on the FirmaChain github and consequently will be applied to our system.
Once the above test is completed on our Colosseum testnet, a governance proposal suggesting our mainnet hardfork will be registered and with the final consent of our validators, the Colosseum phase will be completed and our holders and investors will be able to meet the new face of Augustus.
