Hello. This is FirmaChain.

We are pleased to announce our open source library and wallet updates.

FirmaChain has updated our JavaScript based SDK on the open source sharing platform npm.

Outside developers can now test FirmaChain’s blockchain network functions through the SDK and can even apply them to other services.

The updates can be checked at ‘@firmachain/firma-js’ within the npm platform. Currently we only provide the integration on our testnet although once the updates become stable we will apply them to our mainnet as well.

What is SDK? SDK stands for Software Development Kit. Generally, a SDK is a collection of software development tools in one installable package. They facilitate the creation of applications by having a complier, debugger and perhaps a software framework. They are normally specific to a hardware platform and operation system combination. To create applications with advanced functionalities such as advertisements, push notifications, etc; most application software developers use specific software development kits.

npm is an acronym for Node Package Manager and is a package manager for Javascript created by Isaac Z. Schlueter. It is the basic package manager for Javascript’s runtime environment Node.js.

On a side note, in March 2020, npm was acquired by open web hosting platform GitHub.

Along with our library updates we also have updated our wallet.

With the addition of the NFT function on our testnet the network updated wallet can be downloaded from the FirmaChain website. Mainnet update and additional updates based on our token swap schedule are also down our development pipeline.

With this library update, outside developers can now test FirmaChain’s blockchain technology on a number of different outside services.

Furthermore, the addition of the NFT function on our network allows users and developers to experience blockchain technology that is one step closer to mass adoption.s

About FirmaChain

FirmaChain seeks to replace all written contracts governing social and legal issues by using an electronic contract platform based on FirmaChain’s data blockchain. Since traditional written and electronic documents are easy to forge, and the verification procedures are complicated, blockchain’s decentralization is used to solve the problem. FirmaChain can check the contract’s validity through its hash function, which can be verified in an independent node. This verification process can be used as a means to resolve legal disputes. Blockchain is an effective technology that eliminates the risk of forgery of such documents, and it is applied to the first DApp (decentralized application) of FirmaChain — DONUE.
