Brownies and Cream.

Even though she’d seen it with her own eyes, she would never believe what had happened. Still, she stood, blinking at the small, rectangular, steel grate at the back of the clothes dryer. That did not happen. I must have been more tired than I had thought because that definitely wasn’t real. Dismissing it as a temporary leap into her imagination, no matter how lucid, Trish reminded herself, didn’t make it real. She placed the remaining clothes into the laundry basket, shut the dryer and left the basement.
