Here it is!! First Line Fiction’s first prompt! Our Maiden Voyage! Are you ready to take it with me?

Normally, I will add one of these each week, but as I’ve just created this pub, I’ll leave it up until we have a good number of readers and submissions.

Okay, here we go with our very first sentence! Your mission is to begin with this exact sentence (no cheating!) and write the rest of the story.

“Shivering on the frosty bench, she pulled her thin coat tighter against the icy wind, her bare hands red and raw.”
