His reflection smiled at him, but he hadn’t moved a muscle. Rohit wasn’t in the best of moods after an exhausting day at work, especially after the nasty argument with his boss. He was seriously considering quitting. The only thing that stopped him was not having a backup job. Being unemployed was not an option.

As he dumped his bag and took off his shoes, he looked again at the mirror in his hallway. Was he seeing things? He could have sworn his reflection smiled back at him again. He moved closer. Was that a knowing smile?

Spooky! He didn’t believe in all that woo woo, but this…this reflection doing things in the mirror was definitely creepy. He shook his head. His mind was probably playing tricks on him. Maybe he needed to get his eyes checked. It had been a while since he had gone for a checkup. Perhaps he should get an appointment the following week.

He flopped on the sofa and groped for the TV remote but didn't turn it on. He sneaked another look at the mirror. His reflection was staring at him now. Intrigued, he got up and went over. When he touched the surface, he saw it distort and pulled his hand back in shock as if scalded. It reminded him of those Salvador Dali paintings. Even as he…
