First Momentum Ventures proudly announces another investment: DIVE solutions provides an industrial SaaS solution for the simulation of fluid flows and highly dynamic processes, which are not fully simulated using existing methods. This state of the art software uses a Particle Flow Method, instead of the common usage of complex, time intense grids, which are essential for other simulation methods.

The new method by DIVE solutions allows the users to map motion and dynamics of the individual particles, allowing a more accurate image in dynamic scenarios for complex engineering cases.

Core applications of this software are phase transitions and dynamic flow conditions. Cars, ships and airplanes are the most prominent examples. Therefore, the main customers are mechanical engineering companies and related industries, who have a need to design flow-efficient hardware products. By significantly reducing the complexity of the simulation configuration, it is thus possible for non-specialized engineers to start a simulation, which makes this software also extremly appealing for SMEs.

Combined with modern cloud computing and web technologies DIVE solutions have a convincing value proposition: New use cases, less time-consuming and significantly improved user experience.

DIVE solution tackles an emerging market: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is considered as one of the most challenging tasks in engineering. It is a segment in the Computer Aided Engineering market (CAE), which is constantly growing by 10% every year, as the software tools reduce progressively the need for building prototypes.

After already gaining some impressive early traction in this market, and rolling out some pilot projects with Kärcher and Berliner Wasserwerke, the funding round was closed in late summer. We, First Momentum Ventures, decided to invest alongside other early stage investors and a publicly funded project. The invested money will be used to build up sales and marketing as well as product quality improvements.
