TECHMEET 1.0

Techmeet 1.0 was a success and first of it’s kind in the year 2020 hosted by First Pavilion Technologies located at Omida, Abeokuta, Ogun State on the 25th of January, 2020 with presence of dignitaries and tech-savvies. In attendance was Mr. Nwachukwu Chukwudi (Ichux) the director of python software foundation.

The program kicked off at 11 am and was anchored by Mr. Bello Gbadebo, a staff of First Pavilion Technologies. The program was an interesting one that was fully packed with loads of varieties such as tech talks, games and fun, and also an avenue to network among techies.

Our first keynote speaker, Mr. Abiodun Azeez, a software developer talked about the common challenges for software developers and solutions to them. According to him, the problems are communication, time management, distraction, etc. He thereafter advised developers to do away with those problems in other to achieve their set goals and objectives.

Mr Soliudeen Ogunshola, a product designer who was the second speaker talked about the fundamentals of no code. He further explained and talked about how to develop an app without the use of code. In his research, he concluded that no code cannot replace developers.

We proceeded to the first game session which involved guessing of programming languages and those who uses it. Participants of the game session were divided into groups with a representative who convey the message non-verbally.

The third keynote speaker, Mr. Luthfulahi Oseni, a software engineer, talked about the tech community as a catalyst for growth. He further explained the benefits of the tech community which are: to help grow skillsets, to help build personnel brand, help reduce working problems, etc.

Furthermore, an online game quiz called Kahoot was played as the final game session for the day. The gaming session was directed by the CEO of First Pavilion Technologies.

Mr. Dolapo rounded up on Google Digital Skills. He discussed how to leverage digitally, citing social media as an appropriate medium that can be used to improve digital skills.
