As December approached (as it does once a year), we at GALE became riddled with a nagging question: ’tis what exactly, the reason for the season?

We searched under fir trees, behind pines, between ferns. We looked under pear trees and conferred with partridges. We asked Dasher, and Dancer, and Donner and Blitzen. Unabated, we searched all through the office and found nothing stirring, not even an answer.

It’s difficult to reach a consensus on what “the holidays” mean and how we should celebrate them. So, we commemorated the season that Shall Not Be Named over the course of 12 days in a great many ways.

At their core, the holidays are a time for giving. Several times this month, our team had the opportunity to get out of the office and into the community. Some of us volunteered at the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club annual holiday party, and helped out during a night that is unique and special for TKBGC members and family.
