What our devs worked on in week 22 of the FirstBlood.io Beta
Welcome Players!
We hope you ALL had a Happy Holiday. As we wrap up 2017 with our Final Developer Blog, we want to wish you all a happy and safe new years, too. We can’t wait to bring you more updates and information as we dive into 2018.
The team is quite excited about 2018, to say the least. If you’d like to read more, read up on what Joe Zhou had to say!
With that, let’s dive into this and see what has been done.
Bug Fixes
Fixed; Social Accounts for Users
Fixed; Errors Particular Tournament Events
A bug was discovered to be causing issues errors with certain tournament events. Whether a player was unable to join, register and/or, check-in. We have found the bug and now fixed it for flawless tournament experiences for all players. Since the implementation of this bug fix, we are happy to state we have had zero errors since.

Since our last blog we have completed a few exciting additions to the platform!
For starters, we have finally added a place for all players to report bugs, suggest the next title and, most importantly, add in suggestions on how you think we can make FirstBlood better. What you like, don’t like, suggestions on improvements. If you haven’t noticed, we truly listen to you, and, our community. This is a place for everyone to come together on community feedback, now! Add in your suggestions, vote and comment on all other player suggestions at Feedback.FirstBlood.io.
Next, we are proud to launch our new Lobby Redesign. Helping players get to their matches even easier while now showcasing more of what the platform has to offer in a UI/UX overhaul.
The team has also launched our beta, “News” Feature. We want to ensure all players are up-to-date on any and all important FirstBlood related, information. Never miss a thing with our newest “News” feature. Located at the top right of the FirstBlood app!
We have one more exciting feature launch as well. After launching our advanced one-of-a-kind tournament automation technology for Dota 2, we have been asked if and how we can use this technology for 3rd parties. The time has come. We have opened up the opportunity to run private tournaments! Giving 3rd parties the opportunity to leverage our advanced tournament technology, on the FirstBlood platform. Expect to hear more on this, next year!
