Blood in the Streets Tournament is back and we are 2x as excited!
Just a few short months after hundreds of thousands of fans tuned in for more than 4 million minutes to witness some of the best EU and CIS Dota 2 teams in the gruesome double-elimination tournament with a $5,000 prizepool, that was BITS EU. We are excited to announce that BITS is crossing the Atlantic!
This November, some of the most exciting teams from across North and South America will battle it out for a chance to take home the title of BITS Americas Champion along with their share of the $10,000 prizepool.

Fans Control Who Competes
During our first BITS tournament, we directly invited seven teams, with the eighth team advancing through our “People’s Choice Gauntlet” — ahem, Qualifier.
This qualification process was unique in esports. Each of the interested teams from Europe and the CIS rallied their fans to “vote” for them via Twitter.
The eight teams with the “loudest” fans were selected to compete in People’s Choice Qualifier. A one-day single-elimination tournament, with the winner advancing to the main event of BITS EU.
The People’s Choice Qualifier was an huge success. The teams that joined managed to rally their fans into a frenzy of twitter voting mania, with eight of the most exciting teams in the EU and CIS emerging to compete for the title of People’s Choice.
BITS Americas is the only Dota 2 tournament that puts fans in direct control of their team’s fate!
What does that mean?
This time around, every team that competes in BITS Americas will have to qualify through the People’s Choice Qualifiers.
How Does People’s Choice Qualifier Work?
As a fan, you control your team’s destiny.
Cast your vote by finding your team’s profile on bits.firstblood.io, clicking the vote button, and following the instructions.
Teams will be seeded into the BITS based on votes, with only the top eight teams competing for the BITS Americas title and the $10k prize pool. So your vote is critical!
How Do Teams Register?
BITS will be open to any and every Dota 2 team, from weekend warriors to top-tier professionals. As long as they are based in North or South America, anyone can register!
After registering to compete, each team is handed their own voting portal; a slot on the BITS homepage and a direct link to share with their fans on social media.
The eight teams who manage to rally their fans into the biggest frenzy will be selected to compete in BITS Americas.
Register online by filling out the registration form.
From there, teams are on their own to share the news and rally their fans into a hysteria of social media voting mayhem.
