I’ve been searching for the perfect white sandwich recipe for what seems like an age. Finally I found it! My Classic white sandwich bread is a mixture of a couple of recipes.
Ingredients:
450 g Strong Flour | 25 g Butter | 10 g Salt | 15 g Yeast | Tablespoon of sourdough | 250 ml Water
- Get a large bowl, add the flour and salt. Melt the butter and then add it to the bowl. Add the yeast, sourdough and water. Mix together and kneed into a dough for 10 minutes.
- Leave the dough to rise for 60 minutes
- After 60 minutes continue to kneed the dough into a bread shape.
- Place the bread into a baking tin, leave for a further hour.
- After an hour, place the bread into a preheated oven at 260 degrees. Add a tin of water at the bottom (this will help the bread rise).
- Leave the bread to bake for 35 minutes, turn the bread down to 220 degrees after 10 minutes.
- Leave to cool and enjoy!
