Just Wake Up

A poem about my return to writing after a year long hiatus.

Dormant,

For far to long,

Not thinking, nor speaking,

No information, no transition,

Of creative thought or spirit.

Now, it starts,

A feeling deep within,

A desire, a drive,

Something you used to enjoy.

Come on, just think about it,

Why did you give up?

Did you have to?

Or was it just another failure on your part?

Regardless of all possible questions,

You can make amends,

You can restart.

Just

Wake

Up.
