London Marathon: My Running & Fundraising Update

As I mentioned in my last post, I am going to run at the 2016 London Marathon for the second time (and will be set to be my 6th full marathon to date). This is a wee update on proceedings.

I changed the charity, after being offered a spot with Health Poverty Action. I am very grateful that I had the chance to get more than one offer for a charity spot, and I wish the guys at UK Youth all the best in their charitable activities and initiatives.

My training is going well, took part in a half marathon in Bahrain (picture here at the finish line) where I got a new PB of 1:41:47, and I already had a couple of slow long runs for 30k in the last 5 weeks, and I am planning to run a couple of races here in Spain and hopefully abroad if things go according to plan. I will also be donating a pound to the charity for every kilometer I cover in racing in the lead-up to London, and I am really looking forward to that!

If you would like to support in any shape or form, be it by donating and/or sharing the page, it will be highly appreciated! My fundraising page can be accessed here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/OmarRuns. The hashtags I am using for this are #RoadToLondon and #RunningForHealth.
