“Take Care Of Your Employees And They’ll Take Care Of Your Business,” Says Richard Branson, Founder Of The Virgin Group.

It is tough to argue with this pretty true logic of Branson. Undoubtedly, to create a great place to work, it is really important to take care of your people.

How many of your employees end their weekend on a miserable note? Mainly because of the thought of what is waiting for them on Monday morning. The fear of starting another work week comes up on Monday. If this is the scenario in your office, it is a bad sign of unhappy employees going through dull working days.

But that’s not how things work out here at ProofHub. At ProofHub, culture is a top priority for us. We believe that employees are our asset. We have been working really hard to make sure that we follow an amazing culture, working on employee happiness every single day. This not only makes them love coming to work every day but also increases employee productivity.

All we do is keep them happy with a bright day, because;

  • Happy employees are creative
  • Happy employees are productive
  • Happy employees are better leaders
  • Happy employees bring out best ideas
  • Happy employees are better team players

And how do we encourage this happiness? Here are the secrets:

Let them be recognized socially

“People work for money but go the extra mile for recognition, praise, and rewards.” — Dale Carnegie, Leadership Training Guru

Have you thought of using social media for employee recognition? Social media is opening several platforms for promotion of every kind and it is a great platform to recognize your employees on social media. Recognizing on social media is a highly visible way to support your employees and they will love the praise in public about their work.

When someone from your team does something extraordinary, post it on Twitter, LinkedIn, company blog or whatever site that suits you. Your employees will love the limelight when the world gets to know about the amazing thing they did.

Let them step out of their comfort zone

“You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone.” ― Roy T. Bennett

Some employees need to be pushed out of the nest who just want to work on a specific task over and over again till they die. We prefer to assign new responsibilities to these employees to take a step towards their development. It allows them to grow and become more confident and definitely more valuable to the organization.

But make sure to push your employees for things that they can implement appropriately. This will not only make them grow their ideas but also give them a chance to participate in new activities. So, for the overall growth of your organization and employees push them out of their comfort zone.

Treat them like adults

“Treat your employees like you would want to be treated if you were an employee.”

Winning in any business is directly related to treating employees like adults. Employees hate their Managers who treat them like children and irresponsible kids. Within the organization, employees need to be treated in a respectful manner who can be trusted to achieve business goals.

Cut micromanaging from your title, give them the goals and freedom to own the process of meeting these goals. Show them that you believe in how they handle the tasks and you will see an improvement in their productivity and way of working.

Let them crack a joke

“A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done.” — Dwight D. Eisenhower

Your office can probably stand to be lively if you and your employees are involved in regular jokes. It should not have to be always at work, you can crack a joke to make your office a happier place to be. Let your employees share with each other anything they are reading that seems to be funny or something funny that happened to them. It makes a day brighter to bring a little humor to busy work life.

These secrets will keep your employees always be grateful to be working with you. Earn the respect of your employees by seeing something that your employees doesn’t see in themselves.
