Phase 1 is complete, or maybe not for me

The first 4 weeks of #MHTransform is now at an end, and we now move onto the muscle creation process, or do we?!

A welcome change for most people who have been on this plan looking to cut that bit of weight to then start the conversion process of flab to firm!

For me however I am highly likely to continue the “burning” process for another couple of weeks or more, as I probably had more to lose than others doing this plan.

As of today’s weigh in I have managed to lose 6.6kg (approx 14.55lbs) which in English money is just over a stone, and if I am honest I would like to do another stone before starting to build up muscle through the next phase.

This process so far has taught me a lot about myself; mind & body, as well as putting a focus on my nutritional needs.

I’ll be honest, did I eat “badly” before, no I don’t believe so, however badly to me before meant putting the wrong foods in my mouth all the time, however I did over indulge all too often, binge drank when it was time for the quarterly blow out, when I ate bad, I ate a lot of bad, and probably again for a few days before realisation kicked in. “Cheat meals” were more like cheat weeks, and excess was my friend.

My discipline was poor from a food and exercise perspective, and it was a case of being what I was and accepting it, until I decided to to change it up just around Christmas time.

The combination of moving more, focussing on what I ate and how much of it, as well as getting into a routine of having things like breakfast every day and arriving home from work and going straight to the garage gym have really helped me, and I feel totally different.

You will see from the chart above, and remember if you have read any of my previous stories, that I have had a real hard time consuming the required calorie intake whilst being on the programme. The numbers on show are total calories consumed over a week, however don’t tell the story of the workouts and therefore the net consumption, which actually ends up being around just under 1000 calories a day.

My digital partner (My Fitness Pal) has warned me numerous times throughout our first month of dating that I am not eating enough and she refuses to tell the world of my progress, which is fine, but as I always tell her, I am not under eating intentionally, but I can’t eat 5 meals plus snacks a day….its too much!

Onto week 5 then, I am sticking with the first phase plan, with a few adaptions/additions to the routines, and I will do this and see how I go. For me it’s all about continuing what I have started, seeing progress; visibly, numerically and mentally, and seeing where I end up after the next 4 weeks!

I will continue to write about what I am doing, and I know it may not be the most masterful of publications, but it is in some way cathartic for me, and maybe just maybe one person will read it and think “if he can do it, then so can I”.

Good luck to all the #Transformers out there on the programme, I am sure you have all had great successes over the first 4 weeks, and I wish you the best for the next 4 weeks!

ONWARDS!
