Not many people today do physical activity. A majority of Americans have a sedentary lifestyle. It does not surprise me that one of the major causes of these are from the advancement in today’s technology. In the early 20th century, people were not able to gather catch up on the news in a snap. A person literally has to travel to places in order to obtain news.

Now that we have internet, we are able to receive news from the opposite side of the world in less than a second!

Don’t forget we have cars and airplanes to transport us so that we don’t have to spend all our energy on traveling. We lack mobility because of this.

The advancement in technology has made a huge impact in our daily lives. The amount of physical activity in the general US population has decreased a huge chunk in the past century. No wonder what caused this!

Looking on the bright side, there is a solution to stopping this rise of laziness. One of the best ways to keep physical activity is to commute to work using a bicycle. Not only you are supporting your health, but you are reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.

I can go on with a list of things to increase physical activity, but it is part of YOUR job to realize the everyday things you do that requires the use of technology AND going more traditional.
