THE NAKED TRUTH ABOUT RAW FOOD

Raw Food

Well, if you’re still unconvinced about the dangers of cooked and processed food vis-à-vis raw ones, take the following test. If your answers are mostly yes, then congratulations, for you deserve congratulations. So here goes:

  • Would you prefer to cool-off in a beach than in an air condition fitted room?
  • * If you had the choice, would you rather breathe natural air than walk around in an oxygen mask? *
  • Are you more likely to call your lover ‘honey’ than ‘sugar’?

On a more serious and scientific note, it has been proven that cooked as well as processed food (that is food that has been steamed, fried, boiled etc., or foods come in boxes and bags with fancy labels) changes the chemical makeup of food, creates toxins, destroys virtually all nutrients, causes obesity, severely damages Nervous System and causes brain cancer; for good measure.

On the other hand, raw foods like vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouted grains and legumes optimizes health by alkalising your body and getting rid of toxins. Also, raw fruits and vegetables have lots of important energy vitamins like Vitamin C, the B Vitamins and folic acid. A good percentage of these vitamins are, unfortunately, destroyed by cooking. So if you woke up feeling tired, it’s probably what you ate.

One common myth about eating raw is that it is expensive. Far from it. Raw foodies eat mostly organic food, which is 80% to 300% more nutritionally dense. This makes you get more energy from what you eat, so that you eat less, which ultimately reduces your food cost. The best part, however is that you don’t have to be a very skilled chef.
