Was January a trial?

So by now you should be approx. one month into your training/nutrition programs for 2016. Realistically for most people it’s probably only 21 days if even that. And if you haven’t REALLY started or feel like you’re only getting going, don’t worry you have plenty of time.

Making huge changes can often end in disaster as your extreme calorie deficit leaves you cranky as f**k as you reach for the iced doughnut at 10am tea break.

Small changes, bit by bit, you’ll get there.

To be honest I hate hearing that kind of advice because I too want things to happen yesterday. However, some small changes can have quite a big impact on results and THAT’S the way you must look at it.

Most of my recommendations to new clients for January was to eliminate some things from the food plan. Eliminate this and this, replace with that and the other thing. My approach is very scientific and impressive eh? Ha, I don’t think so.

But sometimes that’s all it takes. So if you’re going back to the drawing board today the 1st of February, write down everything you currently do now in one column, then beside it write down all your goals for the year. Now you have to look at how your NOW column is going to get you to your goals. What needs to change?

My advice is get advice. It can be a headache trying to figure everything out and wonder have you made the right choice.

Slow and steady wins the race ;)
