Would you like to be healthier, live longer and avoid all those nasty diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer and dementia? Would you be willing to change your lifestyle in order to achieve these goals?

The problem is that, as you know, there’s loads of different and contradicting advice, that is not necessarily personalised to you, and you have a busy life and will find it hard to focus on changing several habits at a time.

If only there was something that used the most up-to-date scientific research and helped you find the most important lifestyle change for your health… Well, maybe there is :)

We had the exact same problem and decided to create the app Healthy Habits to help everyone like us. This is how it works:

1) you choose your main health goal (this could be e.g. Live Longer, Prevent Diabetes, Prevent Breast or Large Intestine Cancer, Prevent Dementia, etc…)

2) answer a few questions about your lifestyle

3) get a personalised report showing which lifestyle changes could help you the most to reach your health goal (based on scientific research that quantified the benefits of all the possible lifestyle changes)

To give you an example, I’ve found that the most important lifestyle changes to help me live longer are: to eat more whole grains, spend less time sitting and eat less processed meat. These changes are associated with significantly lower mortality risk!

Now it’s your turn: Healthy Habits app. Looking forward to our next 100 healthy years :)

A special thank you to inesvanmuysen for her help and feedback on this story!
