Now that summer is fast approaching; it is the right moment to change the way you moisturize. You will need to prevent your face from forming lines and creases as well as store some moisture in to offset the effect of the high summer temperatures.

Having your custom made product is a great way of keeping off the harsh chemicals and alcohols contained in the over-the-counter products. It is also an ideal strategy of passing away time. The good thing is that it takes about ten minutes to prepare.

Here is a guide on how you can go about making the best DIY concoct formula that will keep you radiant and fresh-faced even after several months later. The advantage is that you choose what you wish to include.

Select your base.

Usually, the base should be aromatherapy oil. When choosing the one to use, consider your skin type.

Carrier oil

It is necessary for diluting the concentrated essential oil so as to lower their chances of irritating the skin. Carrier oils also have distinct healing properties. They contain certain nutritive and therapeutic properties; which implies that your final product will have endless benefits.

Natural cosmetic bases

Pure botanical butter is ideal for use as ingredients in your facial cream. To use it in the formulation, melt it first. It will give the product a smooth and creamy texture.

Beeswax

Beeswax gives your product a thicker and more viscous nature. It also has numerous curative properties that you are bound to benefit from if you include it in your cream formulation.

Choose your oils.

Oily skin:

  • Bergamot
  • Cypress
  • Juniper
  • Lemon
  • Jojoba carrier oil

Dry skin:

  • Chamomile
  • Lavender
  • Melissa
  • Neroli
  • Avocado carrier oil

Acne:

  • Eucalyptus
  • Geranium
  • Tea tree
  • Rosehip carrier oil

Skin-rejuvenating:

  • Frankincense
  • Jasmine
  • Palmarosa
  • Sandalwood
  • Avocado carrier oil

Face massage.

Facial massage is known to have several advantages. Consider having a buccal massage when applying your homemade cream. “Bucca” is a Greek word that means “cheek.” Therefore, the massage involves massaging the cheek and jaw muscles so as to release tension, ensure a radiant skin and enhance circulation.

DIY face cream.

Now that you know how to make a facial cream, you are sure steps ahead than most of your peers. Maybe you can teach them too! Remember that what you just made is cream and not a facial oil. All in all, it is very effective, and you need to try it!
