Its Alive!!!
Finally! After all that work — its alive people! Our fledgling App is now ready to go, for all you lovely folk to test out and hopefully use to make your lives healthier and better.
Seriously though, we need all the help we can get so there is no such thing as bad feedback. Please download the App with a set of friends, try to set up sessions to see if you can arrange sporty get-togethers. Let us know if the messaging, calendar sync et. al. works. If it works for your friends then it will work for acquaintances, strangers and those soon-to-be friends who will be able to join you as sport-buddies wherever you are!
That’s the plan! To have fun undertaking any sort of physical activity or playing any sport because you’re doing it with other people, in a local community with people who live near you or who are from the community. It could be that chap you’ve been catching the 7:21 to Waterloo with for the last year; you know who he is and by now you’ve advanced to the imperceptible head nod when you pass each other on the high street. As it transpires, he’s a pretty good runner and can now spot you when you’re training for the marathon on those lonely Saturday long runs. Or maybe you’re a new mum who just wants to get out and about but want other local mums to join you — easy-peasy, set up a group and people can join your Wednesday morning HIIT session as and when they are free. You’ve made a bunch of new, local friends and kept fit throughout. Hey, you could even be travelling to a different city or country on work or on holiday and find that the local lads need somebody to help make up their five-a-side. Why not join them? What better way to fit into a new place then by way of sport? The possibilities are endless and its all about strengthening community. Smartphones have made us all a lot more insular and its time to take back the night I say!

The website has a (very) basic video tutorial (hey, we’re bootstrapping the whole thing. When we raise some cash we’ll get all slick, promise promise, cross my heart hope to die) showing you how to set yourself up to earn cash from the get-go.
