During the busy times in your life, it is very easy to fall behind with healthy eating habits. Sometimes after work or school, you just want to go home and eat a pop tart. Fitness and staying in shape is not just about going to the gym all the time, but it is also about healthy recipes. Like that one old saying “you are what you eat”. It is very cheesy but true. Studies have shown you do not lose as much weight when you just workout all the time. Everyone loses the most weight when they are exercising daily and eating non processed foods. Here are some easy recipes you can follow!

  1. Mexican Quinoa: Quinoa is a great source of protein that tastes super yummy as well. This recipe is a very light and nutritious meal. Not only is this healthy and nutritious but it’s also unbelievably easy to make. Simply throw everything into the skillet and that’s it. Even the quinoa is cooked right in the pan, really letting the flavors soak in. This is also super easy to make your own and you can put in whatever you love!

2. Easy Burrito Bowls: This burrito bowl is just like Chipotle but way cheaper and healthier! This is a super easy recipe because you just add in what YOU like. I have made these before and I add in white rice, grilled chicken, lettuce, guacamole, and corn! If you really want to go that extra step and make these even healthier, you can use quinoa in place of the rice.

3. Avocado Pasta: If you are a big avocado lover then you will love this recipe! The best part about this recipe is that there’s no cream or butter in this. All you need is simple, fresh ingredients. All you need are a couple of ripe avocados, fresh basil leaves, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. You can even add vegetables on top to add some more color! This is such an easy recipe if you are craving some pasta!
