For many, Fall is a wonderful time of the year. Leaves start to change, apple picking, pumpkin flavored everything, Halloween — fun for young and old.

For others, it’s time to buckle down, get to the drawing board and plot a master plan to a bigger and better physique next year. Time to chase some gains. Less sun means more time in the gym. It’s bulking season. Nothing #basic about that.

If you’re like me, putting on weight doesn’t necessarily mean eating anything in sight. It means being meticulous and careful. Making sure I’m putting in the right nutrients to help with my goals. That doesn’t mean it has to be boring. The ability to be creative is one of the exciting parts about fitness and nutrition. You don’t need to go through the same mundane process day in and day out. With that, I bring you to the moral of this story….

DONUTS!!! APPLE CINNAMON DONUTS!!

Donuts are one of the keys to my heart. Apple Cinnamon Donuts are just as fitting for fall as they are for bulking season. Enjoy!

Ingredients

~ 1 Cup Coconut Flour

~ 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

~ 3 egg white, 1 egg

~ 4 oz. Unsweetened Apple Sauce

~ 1/3 Apple (Whatever Apple you just picked works!)

~ 1 packet stevia in the raw

~ 1 Tsp Cinnamon

~ 1 Tsp Apple Pie Spice

~ 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil melted

~ 1 Scoop Cinnamon Protein (I used SlapNutrition!)

~ Organic Sugar Free Maple Syrup

Directions

~ Mix Coconut Flour, Stevia, Cinnamon and Apple Spice

~ Add in Egg White & 1 Whole Egg, Applesauce & Coconut Oil

~ Stir both dry and wet together. If mixture is too dry, add 2 — 3 Tbsp of water to create more of a batter

~ Add in Apple — finely chopped

~ Used a donut maker — making 5 mini donuts at a time. Took about 7 — 8 minutes. Ingredients above made 12 small donuts.

~ Should you not have donut maker (shame on you!) — bake in oven at 350 F for about 8 — 10 minutes in a donut mold pan. Will yield about 5 — 6 donuts.

~ Drizzle Organic Maple Syrup on donuts to desired taste ;)
