For many Hip-Hopheads, the 90’s on the East Coast is where it’s at. Every borough of New York had its own styles and ruling kings, eventually to be ruled by the one King of New York, Biggie Smalls. This was a time when lyricism peaked and rappers could exhibit their poetry over beats that supported their words. Not particularly great for dancing to, but perfect for sitting back, listening and grooving.
