More exciting and transformative news from Fitzgerald & CO.

He’s a father of three, a drummer, a dog lover, a wannabe chef. And in his downtime, David Matathia will be our new Chief Strategy Officer.

David most recently served as Director of Marketing Communications for Hyundai Motor America, leading the company’s advertising, paid media and social media strategies.

This marks the first senior leadership addition since Matt Woehrmann joined us as CEO in early June. He, like the rest of us, couldn’t be more excited: “We have a growing client list and, under Noel Cottrell, dynamic, talked-about creative work. David adds outstanding strategy credentials to our team. We are excited to have him in Atlanta as a partner to help drive great product across our creative and media offerings.”

And what does David have to say? “There is infectious and irresistible energy and momentum at the agency. I’m looking forward to being part of Fitzgerald and the growing creative culture in Atlanta.” Thanks David — feeling’s very mutual.

Prior to leading award-winning work for Hyundai, David worked at GSD&M advertising in Austin, Texas, where he served as senior vice president and chief strategist, working across the agency’s client roster. He held senior strategic and account leadership roles for the BMW business in the U.S. and globally.

Welcome to Atlanta, David. We’re psyched for your and your Hyundai’s arrival.
