Community Mental Health and Addiction Centers in Miami-Dade County

Throughout the years, the stigma around talking about mental health has slowly but surely lessened. The idea of seeking help and actually finding it is now praised rather than shamed. In Miami, a new mental health care facility is set to open next year and is considered ground breaking, costing $40 million. It seems like mental health and substance abuse is being understood as a serious health problem rather than an active choice. In the map below we see the variety of different mental health and addiction centers just in Miami-Dade county. They extend from Miami Gardens to right above Homestead and as we as a society grow more weary of mental health and addiction, both ours and others, we can only imagine how much more it will grow.
