Miami Colleges Have Differences in Tuition But Do Not always Justify the Price
In Miami there are many different colleges and universities to choose from. If you are like me you would know that some of them are vastly more expensive than others. The University of Miami has a tuition cost of $54,760 according to USNEWS. UM is also considered the 54th best university in the nation. While UM is a great school there are so many great schools that can compete with them even if their rank or price isn't as high as UM.
Florida International university is ranked 162 in national colleges and has a tuition of $18,96 for out of state and even less for in state. while this ranking seems so far away from UM, FIU is ranked as the number one public school in Florida by the Board of Governors. Nova Southeastern University is a top ranked college and is in the top 5 in the US in minority degree recipients. It is ranked 213 by USNEWS and has a tuition of $34,570.
Both those schools and others are great schools but schools like UM are still considered way better because of their national ranking and it makes more and more students want to go there even if they could be saving money for their future and receiving an almost equal education right next door.
