On the Japanese island of Yakushima, macaque monkeys are known to ride deer for transportation, and in return they groom deer and share food with them. Nature is so beautiful.

The deer eat seeds dropped by macaques on the ground, as well as their feces. Macaques groom the deer for parasites such as lice, which are rich in proteins. Additionally, as a side note, these monkeys even wash their potatoes before eating them. Hell yeah, monkeys.

I can just imagine these monkeys hopping on top of their deer, doing our go-to hand motion, and bellowing out an “…………..OKAY let’s ride!”

let’s ride, boyo
