Russell Crowe’s Biggest Fan

Russell Crowe used to relentlessly get prank called for a few years in the early 2000s. Whenever he was staying in a hotel, he would often get a call to his room of someone pretending to be the hotel manager who had some issue with Russell and that they were charging him some fee or making him change rooms or something. And then if Russell would get irritated the caller would always cave and giggle and admit it was a prank call, saying “Don’t worry Russell, it’s only me, Michael!” He also would get some punny calls from this strange caller, things like “Is Mr. Wall there? Is Mrs. Wall there? Are there any Walls there? No? Then what’s holding the roof up? Ha ha!”

After a few times, Russell figured out that the caller was actually Michael Jackson, and received calls from him regularly for three years. Weirdly enough, they had never met before and never met after that, either.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
