Waiting for Beta — Life in Nifty Football Purgatory
Deep down in our hearts we all want to have the power to make changes in ou favorite teams’ games. Sometimes the decisions of the couch is arguable, however certain footballers’ actions and position are a matter of discussion too. What would you do, if you could manage your team, strengthen the footballers, choose their positions, game strategy and formation? In Nifty Football you can have that and more — in this play-to-earn football management game, not only players and coaches, but also the scouts and stadiums are tradable assets, NFTs, too.
Everything started in 2019, when the Nifty Football was created as a collectible card game in collaboration with Manchester-based digital artist Stanley Chow. Since then Nifty Football went the long path of changes and development. Thanks to Mr. Chow players have different colors and styles of hair, nationality and amazing characteristics, giving them value as digital art.
If Nifty football is a play-to-earn game, what do you earn?
There are two types of currencies — XPs and $NFTF — in the game. XP is earned and used throughout the game to improve the team and can convert only to $NFTF, while $NFTF can’t be earned by playing the game. It is a currency with market value and anyone can trade it outside the game.
In the full version the users will play against each other, but in beta the game engine gives you 18 unique players to form the team (defenders, goalkeepers, attackers, etc.) There are a mandatory 38 games against the computer. You choose the time to start the match, team formation, players’ positions, roles and tactics. To earn XP, manage the game, make changes immediately and increase your chance of winning by choosing a convenient time for the match so that you can monitor the game.
Nifty Football Community
In anticipation of the beta version of Nifty Football, Niftians have found their shelter on Twitter and the Discord community, where they see the sneak-peeks from the game, exchange opinions and have discussions about football. Joining the community at an early stage gives you more opportunity to test the beta version and influence the development of the game. According to the frequency of activity, a user levels up and gets certain roles.

Breakthrough Prospect — if you kept active and leveled up to 5, congratulations, you are a dedicated member of the Niftians
Wonderkid — you leveled up to 10. No doubt, you did something wonderful there!
Senior Squad Member — watch the most important games with community members with beer and peanuts and discuss how unfair the referees decisions are. You reached level 15!
First Team Player — continuously contribute to the community and feel like a host for newcomers on your 30 level
Legend — on level 50 you gave everything you could to the community. They will tell stories and myths about you!
What makes the Nifty Football Discord community special?
Quizzes — our legendary community managers host the quizzes about Nifty, football or football games. If you are love competitions, try and beat the true champions — artplusbrad and Eleyef. Last Friday the quiz had question-answer form and the theme was Nifty Football — when it started and the rules in the game.
Previously we predicted UEFA Nations League match results (scores and winners), community managers posted the matches daily and we had to predict the scores or at least the winners.
We also played wordsearch games about football players, famous stadiums and teams. The breaking news is that you can earn XP here. Frankly, they always have something funny in mind and having fun is the main component of the games, isn’t it?
Sneak-peeks — for impatient Niftians waiting for the beta version of the game these short videos, card visuals and photos are a little help, but they always want more and more of it.
B-romance — The story of the bromance starts, when everyone thought that Rouxbarbe was a woman, the beautiful, intelligent nymph from France, loyal football fan and a soul mate of Marmaladex. Their sweet and gentle relationship, conversations about football facts only few knew about made everyone think that it was a beginning of romance, but… Rouxbarbe was a man! It was easy to guess, as the name itself translates as Ginger Beard. Who would imagine? But we still consider them as a couple.
Jokes — It’s the community full of laughing, jokes and pranks. Of course we could not leave the April Fools day out. Everything started when vevery.eth and Marmaladex (a friend in crime) pretended that he took a job with Footium, the competitor game, that it was better and some of the members would leave for Footium too. Guess what happened? L.A.F actually believed it and jumped in to save the “family”, but they continued the argument. Vevery promised him to take with him as it was not his fault 😂!
Creating dream teams on Twitter — the game usually takes place on Twitter. Jc1p picked 25 football players from Manchester United. Everyone could participate and form their dream team from five footballers. From numerous variations, Jc1p chose the best three. The funniest part is that mostly, you have $15 and you need to spend each dollar with purpose. Do not hesitate to search for some information about footballers, their skills and choose the ones accordingly. It’s my strategy, which always works!
The final advice — use Discord and Twitter simultaneously to check the news about Nifty Football, contribute to the community and grab as many XPs as possible. The spot in the Beta version is waiting for you!
