5 reasons to choose Figma over Adobe XD
Figma vs Adobe XD: Which is better in 2021?
There are many tools for designing User Interface but Figma and Adobe Xd are leading software’s used by professionals. Choosing the best tool between the Figma and Adobe XD is a complicated process. I use Figma for designing and I have five reasons to use Figma over Adobe XD. If you are still using Adobe XD then this article is for you. After reading this article you may change to Figma.
Here are my five reasons to choose Figma:
1. Figma Community
Figma Community lets you explore, install, use and remix thousands of plugins and files published by designers and developers. Think of it as a public place where people can publish live design files — much analogous to what Github does in the development domain. Figma users get benefited here because they get a lot of design files and design systems for free within the Figma.
2. Figma mirror
You can preview your designs on a mobile device to see how they look and feel on an actual device. You can use the Figma Mirror app to preview both static designs and Prototyping interactions. This allows you to simulate a more realistic and immersive environment, without the browser header and footer. As you make changes in the Figma desktop app, the screen on your devices updates in real-time. Sadly we don’t have any real-time prototype viewer in Adobe XD.
3. Figma Features
Figma has a lot of features so that we don’t need to shift towards other tools for ease of work. In Figma, we can process the design from wireframing to prototype. Figma recently released a lot of powerful features like Interactive components, Variants, etc which are not available in XD and those features make the work much easier for the creator.
4. Easy Collaboration
Figma Collaboration is as easy as adding a person to the conference call. You can add teams for the design file by sharing a link and you can manage who can edit the design, view the design, etc. The best part is, the complete team can work on the same design file at the same instance of time. Figma allows real-time collaboration so work can be easily done and fastly.
5. Work on Any Platform
Figma is a browser-based tool so you can work from any device from anywhere. Figma works on any OS like MACOS, Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, etc so you don’t need to worry about your device. You can manage your files by logging in from anywhere. Adobe XD doesn’t have this feature and it only works on Windows and you can’t open, manage your files from the browser.
👉 Choose your tool wisely. If your tool has the best features compared to other tools, that will be a great advantage to you. If you are a freelancer try to master all the best tools available.
