New Flagship Captain — Stacks Ecosystem

Greetings everyone!

We’re excited to announce that Jack, a well-connected expert in the Stacks ecosystem, has joined our Captain team!

Jack first entered the crypto space in 2017 and quickly became enamored with this fantastic new technology. As a Bitcoiner who understands the value proposition of smart contracts, Jack was drawn to the Stacks ecosystem in 2022. Shortly after entering the ecosystem, he began writing about Stacks and the various projects being built upon it on his Sigle blog. This endeavor has allowed him to keep his finger on the pulse of this rapidly growing blockchain that combines the programmability of Ethereum with the security of Bitcoin.

Publishing on Flagship’s Stacks outpost, he will be keeping us all updated on the latest breakthroughs and emerging trends in this emerging sector that is bringing DeFi, NFTs and more to Bitcoin.

Stacks is a decentralized blockchain that makes Bitcoin programmable by enabling smart contracts. Stacks can be thought of as a blockchain 1.5 that has a direct connection to the Bitcoin network yet has its own protocol. Stacks makes use of the Bitcoin network’s security to protect its own. Stacks has made it feasible for blockchain to be used in exciting new ways on the Bitcoin network.
