Flamingo Finance Announces Save the Flamingos NFT Charity Auction
In partnership with Gaurav Sirola, Ph.D., Wildlife Researcher, Wildlife Institute of India, Flamingo Finance is pleased to announce an NFT collection to be minted and auctioned on GhostMarket. The Save the Flamingos Collection is considered Flamingo’s “first-ever charity auction” by NFT, with all proceeds going to Sirola to support flamingo research in India.
Ten (10) Save the Flamingos NFTs in total will be minted and auctioned to support Sirola’s flamingo research.
Each Save the Flamingos NFT is a photograph taken and edited by Sirola throughout his flamingo research.
Today, flamingo research is mostly limited to America, Europe, and Africa, and is lacking in India. Sirola aims to bring more flamingo research to India, specifically researching flamingo ecology i.e. population size, temporal variation, habitat preference, food, habitat suitability, and influence of salt works.
The NFT series has been minted and set to auction on GhostMarket. Bidding has begun and will end on Thursday, February 3, 2022, shortly after 14:00 UTC.
To accompany the end of the auctions, Flamingo Finance will be hosting a live Community Lagoon event on Flamingo’s Discord to include live coverage as final bids are being placed. The event will begin Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 14:00 UTC on the #community-lagoon channel.
