Flamingo Finance Releases FUSD Pool Bonus
Hey Flamingos,
We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new feature regarding Flamingo Lend and FUSD pool staking rewards — Pool Bonus!
To incentivize users to borrow more FUSD, increasing the FUSD supply (as explained in our new Flamingo Lend Targeted Incentives document in Flamingo Learn), users who borrow FUSD are now eligible for a Pool Bonus from FUSD pools, increasing their APR.
To receive a Pool Bonus, users must allocate a percentage of their borrowed amount to a pool they are staking in. The percentage a user allocates to a pool is only virtual, meaning no assets are moved. The percentage is only used to decide which pool a user wants bonuses from. Only certain pools have a Pool Bonus.
The Pool Bonus system works by giving everyone who stakes in the pool base rewards and bonus rewards to certain users. The base rewards for a pool with Pool Bonus are currently set to 20% of all the rewards the pool would normally receive, and the rest is given out as bonuses. In other words: in a pool with a Pool Bonus, users compete for 20% of all the rewards by staking liquidity like in normal pools, but they also compete over the remaining 80% by staking liquidity of borrowed tokens such as FUSD.
How much bonus will I receive?
It is not straightforward to calculate the number of bonus rewards a user will get because it will change depending on a user’s assets and actions and all other users' assets and actions. We have created an example scenario below (see the table) to showcase how many rewards different users would get according to their staking positions and allocated borrowed percentage.
Another way to see how much boosted APR you would receive is to use the Pool Bonus module in the Asset Actions tab on Flamingo.Finance. Note that you must have already borrowed FUSD and staked in a pool with a Pool Bonus to be able to preview your bonus APR there.
