In order to engage learners and to teach lessons as a teacher, certain steps ought to be done or followed:

A profile picture, a snapshot of your front face usually with a bright background.

Be wary that DPs (default pictures) with insufficient light or brightness might be hard for learners or your prospective students to imagine having a pleasurable learning experience.

Write self introduction with a lot of languages

Self introduction, a simple and brief introduction about yourself in not more than about 100 words stating what languages you know and which ones can you teach. And for the most part of your self introduction on Flamingo’s profile we strongly advise you to write in multiple languages, even if they are simply basic greetings.
For e.g. If you want to teach English to a Japanese audience, we recommend you to write your intro in both English and Japanese.

Schemes and offers regarding the trial lesson,

Flamingo offers the opportunity to allow a discount to your prospective students for your very first lesson. To develop an understanding and compatibility with and to engage as many learners as possible, a discounted rate for the trial lesson is encouraged. Most of the trial lessons range from¥0 to ¥2000.

Set up your schedule

Your schedule indicates to your learners or to anyone who views your profile, what times of the week you will be available at.
In order to set your schedule, press on settings (bottom right)-> touch on your profile photo (which opens your Flamingo profile) -> press edit profile (on the top right) -> select schedule.

Get a review

About thirty minutes after completion of the lesson, both the learner and the teacher shall receive a review notification from Flamingo. The more reviews you get the better your chances are of finding prospective learners through your profile on Flamingo.

LIKES on Flamingo

Once you get likes from learners, their profiles automatically appear in your chat box where you can send and receive message requests. Here you can freely talk and tell people about your language abilities and lesson fees. If you come across anything in either Japanese or English which you could not comprehend, please feel free to ask our customer support staff — Tom, about it.

The fees that the learners pay to you on Flamingo, shall at first be converted into Flamingo Points which are collected into your registered account. In order to convert the Flamingo Points in your account into hard cash please follow the steps indicated in the video below :
