The beginning of Flanks

On December 4th, Flanks passed the 1-year mark since it began its journey in the exciting Fintech universe. Like many other startups, we have since pivoted from our initial idea.

In the beginning, Flanks was a mobile application that sought to change how e-commerce businesses used shared payments tools. After many months of development, we identified what we believe is an even more exciting opportunity, and pivoted the business. Flanks has developed a technology capable of connecting data from various financial institutions onto a common, user-friendly interface all while maintaining the utmost security and confidentiality.

Who is behind Flanks? The founding team is Joaquim De La Cruz as a CEO, Sergi Lao as a CTO and Álvaro Morales, with his vast experience from the banking industry, as an Executive Chairman. Undoubtedly, the latest technological skills combined with industry experience make us a perfect team for the challenges that Flanks will encounter in 2020.

Unexpected jump as a Startup

In May 2019, we participated in the XXI SeedRocket contest where we won second position. A valuable experience and an unexpected prize. Most recently, we have been ranked 28th out of the 100 most innovative startups in Spain in 2019 by StartupReal.
