Position: Data Scientist
Location: Riga
Employment: Internship
The Data Scientist position will be a part of our IT team in Riga, helping to identify patterns and develop algorithms together with our IT team using the data Flashpoint owns.
The problems you will be exposed to range from dataset analysis to building your own datasets for ML processing and research. This position will allow you to research and experiment with real life datasets and real business requirements.

Key responsibilities:
- Researching existing datasets
- Creating new metrics and algorithms
- Experimenting with ML — building datasets, training models (using proprietary no-code tools)
- Working with Investment and Research teams to identify new solutions
Candidate requirements:
- University degree: STEM or IT
- SQL Proficiency, experience working with PostgreSQL is a plus
- Understanding financial data and startup economy is a plus
- Python and pandas experience / or other data science tool knowledge
- Ability to work full time
- Desire to learn and experiment
- Fluent English
