Unnyhog joins Y Combinator!
The cross-platform gaming startup and Flat6Labs Abu Dhabi graduate Unnyhog is taking part in Y Combinator’s current Winter 2016 class.
Following a very successful Demo Day presentation in Abu Dhabi showcasing Unnyworld, the first fast-paced cross-platform online game in the world the Russian-based team were just commencing their fundraising efforts as they received the invite from Y Combinator to join. UnnyHog has also received investment from TwoFour54 in Abu Dhabi for a total of $360,000 raised to date.
“Everything was very strict. Each team has only 10 minutes, and no minute more. When 9 minutes are done, you will hear the door knocking. When 10 minutes are done, the door will be opened, so you have to leave”
explained CEO Pavel Ignatov, as he highlighted his experience getting into Y Combinator over at the UnnyWorld blog.
The Unnyhog team are no short of experience when it comes to gaming, they have developed three games for iOS and Android platforms and they were downloaded more than 5 million times. They have gained a wealth of experience in the development of games. Their latest cross-platform title UnnyWorld allows for users to jump from a PC, tablet or phone interchangeably.

Unnyhog have just soft-launched back in February, and they’re aiming to collect sizable feedback and data from the first users in their first market in Malaysia, iterating the game until it’s ready for launch.
After Y Combinator, the team is looking to start fundraising to hire more people and centralize the team to bolster game development, as well as expand across more regions in Asia.
It’s also worth noting that UnnyHog joins the same class with Flat6Labs Cairo graduates Instabug in Y Combinator.
