Flattr’s going to camp! At least a few of our team members are. Why is this of interest? Simply because in the coming days you might be able to hook up with one of us, listen to one of our talks or even get a Flattr-sticker!

Where will we be? In three places: CCCamp in Germany, OggCamp in England and SSWC in Sweden.

What are all of these events?

CCCamp, or Chaos Communication Camp, is an international, five-day open-air event for hackers and associated life-forms. It provides a relaxed atmosphere for free exchange of technical, social, and political ideas. The Camp has everything you need: power, internet, food and fun. It’s located outside of Berlin in Finowfurt and the event runs from the 11th of August (being tomorrow) to the 14th. If you want to talk about Flattr with one of our team members, I’d recommend you heading over to the Telecomix camping area, and you might find one of us there.

OggCamp is a free two-day event about technology, open source, music, art, politics, community, creativity, and more! The venue for OggCamp is Farnham Maltings, between the 13th and 14th of August, with a sneaky before party the 12th. OggCamp is an unconference with a set track of talks as well. Being an unconference there might be a talk about Flattr, if I don’t get sick again.

Sweden Social Web Camp is an unconference about the social web, with tent, sauna-float, sheep and it’s own island, Tjärö. SSWC takes place from the 11th to the 14th of August. There’s a great talk about Flattr planned, if you like it you can vote for it here.

Now go and enjoy this awesome weekend! See you!
