You know what’s creepy? Wikipedia’s new donation campaign. In fact, at Flattr, we thought it was so creepy that we decided to do something about it. So without further ado let me introduce our shiny new extension for Google Chrome and Firefox browsers.

Download Chrome extension »Download Firefox add-on »

When installed, this extension displays a Flattr icon in the address field when browsing Wikipedia (and other flattrable websites too). Clicking this icon takes you to a page where you can flattr the article you were reading.

For now we provide only Chorme and Firefox add-ons and hope that code-wise fans of Wikipedia will build similar plugins for Safari, Opera and any other browser some of you might be using.

Disclaimer: The Wikimedia Foundation (who operate Wikipedia) Flattr account is currently held by Flattr and we will transfer the received money to their bank account monthly.
