Thank you Sweden and thank you VINNOVA

As we say in Sweden … hipp, hipp, hurra!

It was announced today that we’ve been awarded a grant by VINNOVA, the Swedish innovation agency whose goal is to increase the competitiveness of researchers and companies in Sweden. We are of course very delighted that Swedish innovation agency sees the potential in Flattr and the impact it has on the internet.

Along with 41 other companies, and in conjunction with our rocking research partners at MEDEA, we’ve been awarded a nice grant to accelerate some of our development efforts — and to make Flattr even better, easier to use, accessible from more countries. Hip, hip, hurray!

The money is for a special project/feature for flattr and we are pretty sure lots of you will love it, more info to come.
