On November 27th, FLETA and renowned Japanese blockchain media company Coin Tokyo entered into a strategic partnership at the Beyond Blocks Summit in Bangkok.
Coin Tokyo is among the top 3 blockchain media companies in Japan. They report on in-depth news regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency topics through independent investigation and market analysis. Their main activities deal with entire fields related to blockchain & cryptocurrency such as reporting on world blockchain news, trend analysis of main cryptocurrencies, collecting news for blockchain projects, writing the reports about conferences, and interviews of influential projects and people as well as other marketing activities.
After the meeting in Bangkok, it was announced that Akira Munekiyo and Yabo Cui, both co-founders of Coin Tokyo, have become FLETA’s two new advisors.
Mr. Munekiyo is a Japanese serial entrepreneur and an angel investor. He is a Keio University graduate and has experience in promoting, cultivating, and running many companies. He has built a number of successful businesses acquired by the Cyber Agent Group, a largest VC in Japan. His influence has been continuously growing since joining the blockchain community. Mr. Cui is a graduate of Queen’s University in Canada and a consulting advisor of Deloitte Japan. He brings extensive banking and consulting experience working with large corporates and regulators. After establishing Coin Tokyo, he has been connecting blockchain ecosystems between Europe, North America and Asia and is a key member of the blockchain community in the APAC region.
It is expected that with the help of Mr. Akira and Mr. Cui as advisors, FLETA’s expansion in Asia will be accelerated.
The two new advisors commented, “Coin Tokyo will be there for FLETA every step of the way in Japan and beyond the APAC region. We will provide support so that FLETA becomes the platform ever developer will use.”
FLETA’s CEO Paul Park remarked, “Now because of the partnership with Coin Tokyo, FLETA can really assert ourselves in Japan. With the help of Mr. Munekiyo and Mr. Cui, FLETA can also form partnerships and collaborate with many major Asian companies.”

야보 퀴 공동 창립자는 캐나다 퀸즈대 출신으로 일본 딜로이트 컨설팅 자문으로 활동하고 있기도 합니다. 코인도쿄를 창립한 이후 유럽과 아시아의 블록체인 생태계를 연결하며 일본 블록체인 부문의 핵심 인사입니다.
아키라 공동 창업자 및 퀴 공동 창업자의 플레타 어드바이저 합류로 인해 플레타의 아시아 내 사업 확장이 가속화될 것으로 예상됩니다.
두 어드바이저는 “플레타의 일본에서의 모든 활동은 코인 도쿄가 함께할 것이다. 플레타가 모든 개발자들이 당연하게 이용하는 블록체인 플랫폼이 되는데 힘을 보태겠다.” 고 전했습니다.
또한 플레타 박승호 대표는 “코인 도쿄와의 파트너십은 일본 내에서 플레타가 크게 발돋움할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다.”며 “아키라 공동 창업자 및 퀴 공동 창업자의 도움으로 플레타가 유수의 아시아 회사들과 협업할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.”고 말했습니다.
