Ten years after serial killer Dexter Morgan left Miami by disappearing into a hurricane, we find him again. He is living a happy life in Iron Lake, upstate New York.
Fans of Dexter were disappointed with the serial finale “Remember the Monsters?” back in 2013. They didn’t mind Dexter being dead. He could have even gone to prison. But living somewhere as a lumberjack who has lost his humanity didn’t sit well with fans.
In 2021, the Dexter book series author, Jeff Lindsay, and a production team, including Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds, and Clyde Phillips, brought Dexter back and examined the darkness and light of a reformed serial killer with Dexter: New Blood.
With Hall in a producing role, Dexter fans were not disappointed with this limited series. It kept to the plot details from the original Dexter. It reignited the fervor for the Dexter Morgan universe and the dark passenger’s story. We even see David Zayas as Angel Batista and John Lithgow as Trinity in this reunion show.
