Six Feet Under and Dexter fans may have missed the limited series SAFE. Michael C. Hall stars in this multifaceted thriller detective story about a parent’s missing teenage daughter. SAFE starts with several families in crisis, breaking down from the inside out.
For this Netflix limited series, Hall adopts a British accent. It is set in an upscale, small gated community in England. It’s a typical, physical role for Hall, who nails his performance. Hall plays a surgeon, Tom Delaney, who has recently lost his wife, Rachel, in a car accident. Tom has two daughters, Jenny and Carrie, and knows his primary duty to his lost wife is to keep his girls safe.
After losing her mother, teenage daughter Jenny (Amy James-Kelly) is, of course, full of angst, remorse, and anger toward her father. She says she’s going out for the evening to spend time with friends and never comes home. Tom spent several days trying to find her.
