Writing Like No One Is Reading

This is my declaration of independence as a writer

This is a photo I took at a Fourth of July celebration and parade in Oklahoma about 2005. For whatever reason, I thought of this photo while writing this piece.

I have declared my independence as a writer. I am going to write what I want, and how I want — period. I will use proper spelling and grammar as much as Grammarly will allow, but beyond that, I am not going to be limited.
