Embark on an Inspiring Journey with Renowned Photographer Marco Secchi: Discover How Flipboard Elevates His Craft.
It is a great honor to interview Marco. I was very lucky to meet such an eminence in a community magazine for photographers on Flipboard. His breathtaking photographs are an example to follow and learn from. His images reflect the life and poetry of Venice. Marco is well-known as an Editorial and Commercial photographer, that specializes in travel, home interiors, hotels, and food. In this interview, he shares his wisdom and experience with our readers.
1. In a few words, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a professional photographer and I have been working as a photographer for over 20 years, and my work has been featured in magazines, newspapers, and online publications all over the world. I specialize in travel, landscape, and fine art photography, and I am also a passionate educator. I offer photography workshops and photo walks in Venice, Slovenia, and Croatia, and I am always happy to share my knowledge and passion with others.
2. What prompted you to download Flipboard?
In the beginning, I was curious because I love to keep up with new technology
3. How has your experience using Flipboard evolved over time?
I have been using Flipboard for several years, as I said at the start was pure curiosity, then for me became a news aggregator to keep up with my interests and passions and then evolved into being a curator for a few magazines
4. How do you find the content on Flipboard?
I tend to use a lot the search bar which for me is the most straightforward method, but I like also the Explore Tab sometimes for new stuff or something I did not really think or needed at that time. Then I subscribe to Magazines and Subjects and finally, I have a few smart magazines that populate with articles.
5. How does Flipboard help you tell your story about photography?
I can use Flipboard to curate a collection of my own post about photography or other subjects I like but also post photos and videos.
I can follow other photographers on Flipboard or Magazines. This is a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest photography trends and to learn from other photographers.
6. How does Flipboard compare to other news and content aggregator apps that you have used in the past?
I tried a few aggregators in the past but none had such a cool interface not to mention so many possibilities…. They were just aggregators. Flipboard has a lot of functions and possibilities…from Share to Mastodon…are endless.
7. How does Flipboard help your business?
I can write articles and blog posts about photography on Flipboard. This is a great way to share my thoughts and insights on photography with others.
You can create a magazine about photography or travel. This is a great way to share your passion for photography with others.
I am getting so many visitors to my website and blog and often translate into customers.
8. How does Flipboard cater to your specific interests and needs as a user?
First It personalizes my feed. This means that I see the content that I’m most likely to be interested in, which saves me time and effort this is very important to me.
Also, it is easy to discover new content. Flipboard’s Explore tab is a great way to discover new content that I might not have found otherwise. It’s super well organized by topic, so I can easily find what I’m interested in.
It’s easy to share content. This is for me a fantastic possibility I can easily share content from Flipboard with my friends and followers on social media. It is a great way to stay connected with the people I know and with people, I do not that may discover me and my services.
9. Have you found a unique niche on Flipboard that you may not have discovered otherwise?
Quite a few….I became passionate about food and cooking, also tiny houses :-) and “explored” a few countries
10. How do you interact with the Flipboard community?
I follow other users and magazines. This allows me to see the content that they are sharing, and to connect with other people who are interested in the same things as me.
I comment on articles and magazines. Not as much as I would like due to time…and I know I should do better than that,… Because I do knot this is a great way to start a conversation with other users and to share my thoughts on the content that I’m seeing.
I share articles and magazines with my friends and followers.
